Sponsored and staffed by The Friends of the Milwaukee Public Library volunteers, the very popular quarterly Book Sales feature thousands of books marked down to bargain prices. The book sales are always an exciting event typified by the—ahem—enthusiasm of the participants!
Cooler autumn days will be here before you know it, so now is the perfect time to Fall into Reading at the Fall 2026 Friends of MPL Used Book Sale.
The two-day sale will be held on Friday, September 11 from 1pm-4pm and Saturday, September 12 from 9am-4pm in the Rotary Community Room on the first floor at Central Library.
Leaf through used adult hardbacks at $1, adult softcovers/paperbacks at 2/$1 and Kids and Young Adult books 4/$1. Stock up now!
And don’t forget to browse The Bookseller across the hall from the Rotary Community Room for more books, vintage items, Little Free Library bags, media, and magazines at bargain prices.
