Inspiring Lifelong Learning

A Library Love Story

Listen to this inspirational story that features a remarkable woman whose love affair with Milwaukee Public Library began at a very young age - where she was a regular visitor to the Center Street Library branch.

Today, she is celebrated as an accomplished leader who has served locally as well as on the global stage as Ph.D., Vice Chancellor, Delegate to the United Nations, Senior Advisor to the Department of State, and nominated Ambassador to the United Nations.

Awards and Recognition

Milwaukee Public Library Foundation has earned the Gold Seal of Transparency from GuideStar, the world’s largest database of nonprofit organizations. Less than five percent of nonprofits registered with GuideStar are recognized with a Gold Seal. A Gold Seal status is the leading symbol of nonprofit transparency and accountability.
