Providing Essential Skills

Workforce Development

The library’s workforce development programs help to prepare a workforce that is literate, knowledgeable, and skilled by supporting jobseekers, entrepreneurs, and businesses with programs and services that provide business education, job labs, certification classes, computer classes, business databases, and small business support. Additionally, the library hosts the annual Job Expo attracting 1000’s of jobseekers and more than 100 employers. Likewise for teens, MPL hosts multiple job fairs with preparatory programs to help teens create cover letters and resumes and prepare for interviews.
